Ubisoft has revealed a major roadmap update for The Division 2, announcing full crossplay support launching in November alongside the brand-new Echoes of Central Park DLC expansion. Ubisoft has announced that The Division 2 is finally receiving crossplay support alongside a brand-new story expansion titled Echoes of Central Park. The long-awaited cross-platform multiplayer feature is scheduled to launch across all supported platforms in November. Rebuilding the Online Architecture for Crossplay Implementing cross-platform matchmaking into the looter shooter proved to be a technical challenge that required reworking the core systems of the game. Bringing Agents together across platforms has required significant work behind the scenes, including partially rebuilding the game's online architecture. With crossplay, your platform will no longer stand between you and other Agents, opening up matchmaking and allowing more of the community to play together. When crossplay launches, all players will automatically transition to the unified matchmaking pool by default, though an option will remain in the Character Selection screen to opt out. To accommodate multiplatform groups, Ubisoft is also expanding clan capacity from 50 to 100 members and resetting the leaderboards to display player standings alongside crossplay status. Venturing into Central Park Alongside the multiplayer overhaul, Ubisoft revealed the game's next major DLC chapter, Echoes of Central Park. The expansion takes agents into one of New York City's most requested and eerie landmarks. During the initial outbreak, Central Park served as an overgrown mass burial ground. After years of abandonment, mysterious activity and distress calls pull agents into the dense, overgrown urban forestry to uncover what remains inside.
