Grinding Gear Games announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live that Path of Exile 2 will officially launch in 1.0 on December 11, transitioning to a free-to-play model and introducing the Duelist class. During Gamescom Opening Night Live, Grinding Gear Games officially locked in the full 1.0 release date for Path of Exile 2. The action RPG will officially graduate from early access on December 11, nearly two years after its initial rollout. With the arrival of version 1.0, the game will drop the paid Founder's Pack requirement currently needed to access early builds and transition into a fully free-to-play title across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The Duelist Class and Completed Campaign The milestone update introduces the Duelist, an aggressive melee class that marks the game's first dedicated sword-wielding archetype, complete with shield proficiency. Alongside the new class, version 1.0 delivers the final two campaign acts to complete the overarching story. Pre-Registration Rewards Ahead of the launch, Grinding Gear Games has opened a community pre-registration campaign on the official Path of Exile website. Reaching milestone sign-up goals will unlock shared rewards for the entire player base, including an exclusive in-game pet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSLL8IIDkWY
