Paralives Studio has announced that its first major free expansion is slated for release in late 2026, as smaller bug fix updates are spaced further apart to focus on optimization and content additions. Following its Early Access launch in May 2026, life simulator Paralives is gearing up for its first major content expansion, scheduled to arrive in late 2026. Developer Paralives Studio reaffirmed its core commitment to keep all future expansions and updates free of charge, pledging never to charge players beyond the base game's purchase price. Development Shift Toward Major Free Expansions While the indie simulator has been positioned as a major independent rival to The Sims, early player feedback noted that the launch version felt like a foundational framework requiring more depth and polish. In response, the studio has been deploying regular stabilization patches while actively building out larger expansions. The team confirmed that future smaller patches will be spaced further apart to allow developers to dedicate their resources toward game-wide performance optimization and the upcoming late-2026 expansion. Patch 0.1.8 Key Improvements Alongside the expansion announcement, Paralives Studio rolled out patch 0.1.8, introducing several quality-of-life adjustments, UI improvements, and critical fixes: Classic Camera Mode: Added an optional camera scheme allowing players to rotate views using middle-click and pan via right-click. Interface Scaling: Expanded Build Mode menus up to seven columns and Paramaker menus up to four columns. Animation & Emotional Polish: Updated Embarrassed emotional animations for clarity, and added age-appropriate couch seating animations for children. Critical Fixes: Prevented in-game time from advancing inside the Paramaker—fixing a bug where Paras could die during character creation—and corrected household vacancy triggers following the death of all resident Paras. Performance Optimizations: Resolved visual rendering glitches on mirrors, roofs, and store displays while streamlining animation loading and camera occlusion to eliminate micro-stutters. With only a few months remaining in the year, the developers are continuing to incorporate player feedback as Paralives progresses through Early Access toward its eventual 1.0 release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQt5BWjXATU
