The open beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls runs for three days on PC and PS5, from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26, with regional start times ranging from midnight Pacific to 4pm Japan Standard Time. Unlike the previous closed playtest, which was exclusive to PS5, this beta is available on both PC (via Steam or the Epic Games Store) and PlayStation, downloadable up to two hours before each region's window opens. The beta includes 16 of the game's 20 launch characters, spread across five teams: the Fighting Avengers (missing only Hulk), the Unbreakable X-Men, the Amazing Guardians, the Samurai Outriders (notably missing Deadpool and Loki but featuring Blade's first playable appearance), and the Knights of Doom (minus Carnage). Players will also get access to six stages — including Marvel's New York in both day and night variants, Savage Land, X-Mansion, Knowhere, and Wakanda — along with casual and ranked matchmaking, an Open Lobby social space with challenge-enabled arcade cabinets, and the first three chapters of the Amazing Guardians story campaign, complete with illustrated motion-comic cutscenes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZdvGJY2Nkg On PC, minimum specs call for an Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600X, 16GB of RAM, and an RTX 2060 or RX 6600 XT, while the recommended tier bumps up to an i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 3600X paired with an RTX 3070 or RX 7600 XT. The full game launches roughly a month after the beta closes.
